DISCONTINUED Sewing Pattern
Book and DVD "All Dolled Up " by Joan Hinds and Nancy
Zieman - $29.99

Go "green"
by creating this outfit from recycled denim jeans. The top of the
girls's skirt is simply a paid of jeans cut off below the pockets;
usually, a jeans top is in good shape and can be reused. If the
jeans legs are in good condition, use the denim to make the doll's
skirt. If the jeans for the girl's skirt are fairly stiff denim,
try purchasing a lighter-weight fabric in a matching color for the
doll's garments.
The lower halves
of both skirts are sewn from rectangles of cotton plaid, a popular
fashion fabric, with knife pleats in the front and back. The vest
is lined with a contrasting fabric and trimmed with bias strips
of the cotton plaid skirt fabric to make the vest reversible. The
bias trim can be applied with mitered corners in the front, or the
strips can be overlapped. The pattern for this outfit is so cute!
The
pattern for the girl's jeans is not included with this book. Use
purchased jeans for the top of the skirt. |
