Classic Nightgown for the American Girl Doll, Bitty Baby and the little girl who owns them

A classic cozy nightgown is essential for girls and dolls. Make it out of pretty flannel prints for maximum warmth. The neckline and ruffles are made of a contrasting flannel print to add a special touch. The ruffles on the girl's nightgown are made with a double thickness of the fabric, which gives body and eliminates a hem. On the doll's nightgown, a double thickness of fabric for the ruffles would be too thick, so only one thickness is used.

Alterations of the doll pattern to fit 15" baby dolls are also given.

This sewing pattern fits 18-inch vinyl dolls such as The American Girls Dolls and 15" baby dolls such as Bitty Baby by the Pleasant Company. The girls patterns are for size 4, 6 and 8.
