Denim is a very versatile fabric for playtime doll clothes. It is a wardrobe staple and coordinates well with many different colors. Just be sure to use a lightweight denim or chambray when working with such small garments. It can be decorated in many ways, such as applique and machine embroidery. The boy's pants have a machine embroidered train on the bib front and red cuffs on the pants legs. The girl's jumper has a bouquet of flowers made from felt. They are stitched with green thread to make the stems. Both boy and girl outfits coordinate well with a knit baby doll T-shirt. |
