Girls just want to have fun at this cool slumber party! The funky doll furniture bed, wardrobe and chest are painted bright blue or jade green with sponging of lighter colors to soften the finish. Beads are strung on coiled wire and attached to the bedposts and the plaques to give the doll furniture a hip, contemporary look.

This bedroom needs to have the right accessories for a successful party. The practical and simple bedspread is made from orange print fabric with yellow cording along the sides of the bed. The yellow sheets and pillowcase have decorative fabric strips along the edges. Three throw pillows are shaped to match the decorations on the bed - a star, square and triangle. No slumber party would be complete without a lined, zippered sleeping bag. And a fur foot pillow is a must!

One of the dolls is wearing a terry cloth robe with a machine-embroidered pocket. A purchased applique could be used if desired. The other doll wears big baggy flannel sleep pants, a staple in today's wardrobe, and a short-sleeve t-shirt.

Since some dolls, such as Liberty Landing®, Autumn Harvest™ and Our Generation™, are a little thinner, you may want to check the size of your doll and adjust the clothing pattern slightly for a better fit.
