Everyone loves a birthday party, especially dolls! This kitchen has been transformed into a party scene with "shabby chic" furniture and fabric with a birthday theme. The doll furniture plan includes using purchased unfinished wooden chairs and a chest and making the table yourself with easily available materials. All the furniture is painted ivory, distressed with sand paper, and stained with a wood stain.

The fabric chair pads and backs are sewn from pink gingham with ribbons for the ties. The gingham fabric is a perfect complement to the birthday party print and rickrack used for the tablecloth and runner. To complete the doll furniture plan, look for collections of decorative clothing trims and brightly colored rickrack at fabric and craft stores. The birthday party fabric makes great party hats, too. Small balloons that say "Happy Birthday" can be purchased at party and grocery stores.

No party is complete without the food, and the pizza and birthday cake are fun to make since they are so realistic!

Since some dolls, such as Liberty Landing®, Autumn Harvest™ and Our Generation™, are a little thinner, you may want to check the size of your doll and adjust the clothing patterns slightly for a better fit.
