Instructions are given for creating finishes for the unfinished wood furniture sold in craft stores and over the Internet. Or you can make your own furniture using the woodworking pattern book "Making Doll Furniture in Wood." Each of the rooms uses a fabric-covered foam board that is hinged in the middle to create two "walls." It allows room for children to play or an observer to see the entire setting. The floor can be any fabric or hard surface, such as cardboard, Formica, etc.

The pattern pieces are printed on the pages of the book so you need to trace over them with tracing paper or copy them on a copier.
