Internet Safety has become a tremendous consideration for all of us. Because I want your credit card information to be as secure as possible, I have hired CCNow to manage my shopping cart and take your credit card information. I am a webmaster myself, but this professional company whose total focus is on handling credit cards will constantly remain up-to-date on the latest security measures that might slip by the ordinary webmaster and me. It is expensive for me. But over the years, CCNow has constantly implemented new technologies to keep your information secure and I have gained a tremendous amount of trust in them.
If you are nervous about buying online, please feel free to make your purchase in any of the following ways:
- Mail in your order. Personal checks or credit cards are fine. I live way out in the country in an isolated area and my mailbox is a locked steel box.
- Fax in your order with a credit card. No one is ever in the house to see your order except my husband and I.
- Phone in your order. If I am not home, feel free to leave a message and either ask me to call you back or tell me what you would like and give your credit card number in the message. No one except my husband and I will hear the message.
Also, please call if you ever have a problem with your order or the billing on the order!
For me personally, when I am buying over the internet, I have a few rules that I follow. I never put in my credit card information if I am asked to do so in an email or on a webpage where the url address begins with "http://". (A webpage that is secure should begin with "https://", that means all information on it will be encrypted.) Also, I never buy from a website that does not list a phone number and street address for the company. Just because there is no phone number or address does not necessarily mean the company is not legitimate, but it certainly means they do not want to deal with customer complaints!
