The simple pieced quilt blocks and fun-to-stitch easy appliqués will have you quilting for all the babies you can find. You can quilt them by hand, by following the quilt patches on the machine or using the free-motion techniques for the sewing machine.

Teach your child to sew for the American Girl® doll with this free scrap doll quilt pattern. These instructions will give her lots of practice on sewing simple straight seams on the sewing machine. Normally pattern designers and doll makers are not willing to allow the people who purchase their patterns to make clothing from the designs and then sell the clothing. However, Joan Hinds, Jean Becker and I (Sally Robertson) give you full permission to make as many items from our patterns as you want and sell as many of them as you can. In fact, we hope for your great success in this venture! We both design American Girl clothing and know these clothes are very popular and sell well.

I have no information about how the other designers, including those who design quilts for babies, feel about you selling clothing from their instructions. You would need to ask the designers and doll makers.
