The Helen Dress has row after row of beaded smocking. It is smocked in the front only and the back bodice comes down to the last row of smocking. The sleeves are embellished with organdy and satin striped ribbon.

Patterns by Grace L. Knott Grace has designed smocked dresses for little girls with matching dresses that fit dolls. Grace immigrated to Canada after the First World War and brought the art of smocking with her. She opened the School of Smocking in Canada and dedicated her life to teaching this skill to Canadian women. Her patterns have been modernized and updated by Judith Marquis.
