This Mitzi Dress pattern is part of our series of 18" doll patterns. This dress is an easy way to learn to make entredeaux on your computerized sewing machine. The pattern directions are very complete and include not only making the entredeaux but also sewing it to flat fabric, gathered fabric and gathered lace. The dress can be sewn with imported 100% cotton lace or synthetic lace. Also, purchased entredeaux can be used rather than making the entredeaux on the sewing machine.

The sash is hemmed with a small rolled hem and ties in the back. The ends of the sash are finished with an easy technique for shaping the ends into points.

The band down the front of the dress is embroidered with one of the fancy stitches on the sewing machine. Like all our 18" doll patterns, the directions are very complete and include helpful hints for such things as keeping the material from puckering while it is being embroidered.
