The doll pattern for the Crystal Princess dress gives directions to sew a dress that is truly elegant. It shimmers and shines just like a crystal. The dress is created from iridescent organza, satin, sequin trim, beaded trim, teardrop trim and iridescent lace. Eight oval Austrian crystals are used in the crown. While the doll pattern looks difficult to sew, it actually is quite easy. The basic design of the doll pattern is simple and straightforward and most of the trims can be sewn on by machine.

There is a time, around age three to seven, that a little girl just loves all the shiny materials. This dress is an awesome choice for a child in that age range.

The model in the picture is "Beth," a Faithful Friends® doll by Heidi Ott, distributed exclusively by Target Stores. Faithful Friends® is no longer being sold.

This doll pattern has directions for a slender and regular 18-inch doll. The slender size fits Magic Attic Club® dolls and miscellaneous composition and porcelain dolls..

The regular size fits 18-inch dolls with vinyl head, arms and legs and a cloth stuffed body such as The American Girls Collection® by the Pleasant Company, Götz Dolls® (non-designer) and many others. The doll pattern is actually designed to fit The American Girls Collection® and Götz Dolls® (non-designer) loosely to allow for individual differences in the stuffing of the dolls. It will also fit the following dolls: Dress Me Doll© from The Martha Pullen Company, Faithful Friends Collection®, Liberty Landing®, Girls on the Go®, Savannah of Storybook Heirlooms™, Laura Ashley®, Collector's Lane®, Creative Doll Company®, Springfield Collection®, Sophia's Heritage Collection®, Autumn Harvest™ and Our Generation™. Since some dolls, such as Liberty Landing®, Autumn Harvest™ and Our Generation™, are a little thinner, you may want to check the size of your doll and adjust the pattern slightly for a better fit.
