The doll patterns for the Princess of Hearts dress, crown and dancing slippers fit 18 inch dolls perfectly. This beautiful red satin dress has elegant wide gold ruffle trim at the bottom of the sleeves. The peplum is made from either a satin print or black cotton. The entire dress is trimmed in gold lace. The crown is made from gold lace, gold lame' and sew-on "jewels."

Jean Becker and Joan Hinds have come up with a wonderful inspiration with the patterns for the Princess of Hearts dress, crown, dancing slippers. We all remember the Queen of Hearts from Through the Looking Glass as rather fierce and bossy. This luscious dress is for a sweet-natured princess, regal and beautiful with its strong red, gold and black colors.

The ruby-lipped beauty chosen for the model is an older Götz® Doll originally dressed as Snow White. The Götz® brand used to be sold in fine toy stores.

These doll patterns have directions for slender and regular 18-inch dolls. The slender size fits Magic Attic Club® dolls and miscellaneous composition and porcelain dolls.

The regular size doll patterns fit 18-inch dolls with vinyl head, arms and legs and a cloth stuffed body such as The American Girls Collection® by the Pleasant Company, Götz Dolls® (non-designer) and many others. The doll patterns are actually designed to fit The American Girls Collection® and Götz Dolls® (non-designer) loosely to allow for individual differences in the stuffing of the dolls. They will also fit the following dolls: Dress Me Doll© from The Martha Pullen Company, Faithful Friends Collection®, Liberty Landing®, Girls on the Go®, Savannah of Storybook Heirlooms™, Laura Ashley®, Collector's Lane®, Creative Doll Company®, Springfield Collection®, Sophia's Heritage Collection®, Autumn Harvest™ and Our Generation™. Since some dolls, such as Liberty Landing®, Autumn Harvest™ and Our Generation™, are a little thinner, you may want to check the size of your doll and adjust the doll patterns slightly for a better fit.
