The Princess book of doll clothes patterns includes this pattern for Princess Jade. The bodice of the dress is a surplice-style with the opening in the back. It is easy to make since it is fully lined and sewing on the lining finishes off the neckline seam. The skirt is also easy to sew. It consists of an underskirt which has four ruffles sewn onto it. The only sewing required for the shawl is to put a narrow hem on all edges. All in all, this pattern is very easy to work with.

Jade and purple have always been one of my (Sally) favorite color combinations. These colors are absolutely stunning in this Princess Jade dress. While one usually thinks of jade and purple as a modern color combination, the colors work so well on this doll clothes pattern and look most appropriate on this Asian doll.

Since some dolls, such as Liberty Landing®, Autumn Harvest™ and Our Generation™, are a little thinner, you may want to check the size of your doll and adjust the doll clothes patterns slightly for a better fit.
