Size 48" x 64" Eight easy-to-make pinwheels form the center of this quilt, but it is the chubby cat faces in the border print that add the excitement and turn this simple quilt into the focal point of a child's room. If your border print is a directional one, such as the cat print used in the photographed quilt, you will need to cut the border strips so that when stitched, the pieces show the print in an upright position. The top and bottom borders, therefore, must be cut from the fabric width while the side strips are cut from the length. This means more fabric is needed than if a non-directional print is used.
